Carey's second mortgage was planning to foreclose Carey's house on June 28. We were ready to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy to give her five years to catch the house up.
But we didn't need to. Carey was able to get a HAF grant from the Virginia Mortgage Relief program.
Sadly, the program is not taking and more applications because they are now out of money.
